Why Has The Commission Not Heard From Anyone Who Wants Drilling?
To my recollection, no one has yet appeared before the Commission to make a case for hydro-fracturing in Marcellus shale. I invite those supporting exploration and drilling to come forward and make their case. After all, many people leased their property for this activity....why have we not heard from them? |

You structured a question to meet you desired answer. I think most persons want drilling we just don't want the hydrofracking with the chemicals. There is a total of 57 chemicals however only about 9 different formulas which all may be hazardous. I support drilling just not the method of fracking they are using presently. |

I live in a farming community Jim. I have a very small farm in the Farm Land Protection program. I moved here because of the extraordinary environment and the peaceful small town life and culture. I did not chose to live here because I wanted it to become totally different. Now as to your question. Drilling in the Marcellus shale as it presently occurs has a big foot and is a dangerous enterprise and the means of hydro-fracture which uses and pollutes millions of gallons of our pure water is a public health risk about which we as a community should be very very concerned. |
