What an amazing learning experience the county's middle school Spanish students enjoyed for 8 days in Costa Rica last week! They had opportunities to speak Spanish while visiting volcanoes, rain forest, towns and villages. They even visited and took gifts to a one-room
schoolhouse, where the children performed for them, planted trees in the rain forest, soaked in thermal springs, zip-lined across the tree tops, kayaked, hiked and so much more. I am sure a full article in the newspaper will reveal how much I have omitted. Thanks to a remarkable group of students and chaperones who embraced every activity with enthusiasm and zest and to the parents and community groups that supported them under the superb leadership of fundraiser, Cathy Mosesso.

Senora Groseclose, I salute you for all the extra time and work this entailed. Thank you for inviting me to join you in the latest adventure of "Pocahontas on Wheels". May you lead many more!
