Peak Oil and Gas
There will come a day sooner than later when oil and gas reserves are less than the rate of consumption and prices will increase and life as we have come to know it will change dramatically. The industrial revolution is really the oil revolution. There is nothing on the horizon that competes with the ready energy of a gallon of gas. Driving thirty miles to shop or flying to Europe may become "things our grandparents did". Seven billion residents on planet earth require a lot of energy. Do you think the technology of tomorrow will be able to replace fossil fuels? That some how some where a Steve Jobs will swoop in and save the day with a solution? Or will people have to adjust when the merry go round stops? |

Re: Peak Oil and Gas
By investing in technologies which directly reduce fossil fuel usage now, we are not only cutting emissions today, but we are delaying peak oil and the inevitable transition to more carbon intensive fossil fuels. This gives the renewable energy industry time to mature and develop. |

Re: Peak Oil and Gas
You meant to say "transition to less carbon intensive fossil fuels". |
