Other states begin to take action
Article in the Pittsburgh Post Gazette this morning (September 18th) reveals that Pennsylvania is currently considering a $40,000.00 drilling fee to cover inspection costs, create a fund to address problems, and to reflect the true costs of drilling activities. In West Virginia we currently charge $600. |

We should be at that cost or more. We need to hire experienced people that have knowledge of all facets of drilling to monitor compliance. |

Jim, you are right! And that will be the downfall of it all. |

If you love the country and our way of life, then say no to gas drilling. Beyond concerns for safety and adequate regulations, is the FACT that it will bring an onslaught of INDUSTRIALIZATION which will profoundly change us from the quiet and peaceful life to a dirty, noise filled, smelly, truck congested mess that absolutely no one would chose to move to or live next to. It will make you property worthless (if you are living in Town or on a small tract, or adjoining a drilling area) and our community will die by invasion. |
