Mercury in Retrograde

In astrology, at least according to the warnings of a character in the Netflick I was watching, one should not to act when Mercury is in retrograde, meaning it appeared to be moving backwards when observed. The coming election has the potential to move us backwards. The revelation of inner feelings brought out by the Marcellus meetings and continuing contentious community dialogue tells of unsettled tension between neighbors; the "them and us" perception leads backwards. The County Commission has been proactive in education and support of varied efforts to advance individual and community potentials. This is slow hard work and the results are difficult to see or measure at first. I urge any candidate seeking office not to take advantage of this smoke of controversy and play in the haze to deep seated resentments and ill feelings. These hot buttons lead nowhere. We have not really been talking about property rights and clean water but who was born here and who owns land and how much. This retrenching does not allow us new thinking. We can't solve new problems with old reactive ideas.
